Acted for the applicant in administrative proceedings challenging the decision of the relevant military review board to retire him from the Army on the basis of “successful termination in service.” The Administrative Court annulled the decision for lack of sufficient and proper reasoning, holding that general references to public interest and the regulatory framework were insufficient without individualized facts and specific considerations.

Represented a client in criminal proceedings concerning dishonoured cheques transferred to a factoring institution, with the Court clarifying that the assignment of a cheque to a factor does not alter its legal nature or interrupt the causal link between issuance and non-payment, and that the issuer’s criminal liability subsists notwithstanding the involvement of a factor.

Obtained interim freezing and disclosure orders in support of foreign bankruptcy proceedings in Israel and in aid of enforcement of part of an Israeli judgment. The Court granted Mareva-type relief restraining the respondents, their trustees, and any persons acting on their behalf from using, transferring, withdrawing, charging, or otherwise disposing of funds up to €14 million held in specified bank accounts in Cyprus, pending final determination of the Israeli proceedings or further order of the Court.

Appeared in winding-up proceedings, where the Court held that a petition will be dismissed as an abuse of process where the alleged debt is genuinely disputed and not liquidated, and that liquidation proceedings cannot be used as a substitute for ordinary civil litigation.

Acted in proceedings concerning recovery of possession and mesne profits following the expiry of a commercial lease, with the Court affirming that continued occupation without renewal constitutes unlawful trespass notwithstanding allegations of implied extension.

Secured interim injunctive relief on behalf of a company and against individual respondents, as well as the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver, restraining the respondents from making any changes to the company’s statutory records, including its directors and secretary, memorandum and articles of association, shareholders, and registered office, and from altering passwords or submitting corporate filings except through properly certified instructions issued by the company’s sole director or secretary.

Acted for a newspaper publisher in proceedings where interim orders were granted restraining the defendant from using, disclosing, or accessing confidential and customer-related information, prohibiting its use for commercial promotion, and preventing interference with the claimant’s records, with sanctions imposed for non-compliance.

Represented a senior executive of a major banking institution in administrative proceedings challenging his removal from office in the context of the economic rescue measures. The Administrative Court held that the decision constituted an executable administrative act subject to judicial review and annulled it on the basis that it exceeded the statutory framework and the limits of the Resolution Authority’s powers.
