Stephanos Ayiomamitis
Partner
Stephanos Ayiomamitis joined our firm in December 2020 and was promoted to Partner in January 2024.
He began his career as a litigation lawyer for three years, handling civil and criminal cases, which honed his skills as a lawyer. He was also involved in drafting commercial contracts such as share purchase agreements, property purchase agreements, and business agreements. Stephanos then served as an internal legal advisor at a major insurance company in Cyprus for a year, where he specialized in resolving pain and suffering claims from tort and motor collisions. He spent nearly two years at a multinational Trust and Fund Administration services organization, advising on corporate, commercial, compliance, and regulatory matters, including onboarding one of Cyprus’s largest AIFs. Additionally, his two-year tenure as a Compliance Officer at a Cypriot Investment Firm equipped him with expertise in Anti-Money Laundering laws and CySEC regulations.
Stephanos currently advises on diverse commercial matters, including but not limited to complex real estate, involving renewable energy resources such as PV parks, acting as the leading counsel and promoter for the registration and authorisation of electronic money institutions with the Central Bank of Cyprus, and guiding international corporations in relation to their respective Cyprus and EU legal frameworks. He regularly provides legal advice on shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements, and employment matters, handling complex transactions and everyday business issues. His extensive experience includes conducting legal due diligence, research, and providing comprehensive legal advice, serving a wide range of clients from trade corporations to financial institutions, crypto-asset service providers, medical research centres, aviation entities, and electronic money institutions.
Stephanos is currently enrolled in the ADIT (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) course, which he is expected to complete in June 2025.
