We are pleased to share that Mikaelena Kokkinou has been featured in Kathimerini’s “Κ ΗΓΕΤΙΔΕΣ” Special Edition, contributing her insights on gender equality.

In her article, Mikaelena highlights that gender equality aims to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all. While Cyprus has made meaningful progress in legal protections and representation, particularly in addressing gender-based violence and workplace equality, important gaps still remain.

She notes that women now make up the majority of lawyers and are increasingly represented in the judiciary, reflecting positive developments in the legal profession. However, she emphasises that continued effort, education and confidence from the next generation are essential to overcome remaining challenges and achieve true equality.
