Gina Panayiotou, Global Head of Shipping & Energy and Marina Hadjisoteriou, Partner and Head of Limassol Litigation Department of our firm, will be speaking at the 12th Digital Ship – Vessel Performance Optimisation 2019 conference, to be held at Carob Mill Conference Centre, in Limassol, Cyprus on the 14th of March, 2019.
Mrs. Natasa Pilides, Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus, will be delivering the opening Keynote speech, with the speaker pool of the conference being assembled by top management representatives from the local and international shipping cluster.
Mrs. Panayiotou will be delivering the keynote speech on “IMO 2020: The Legal Challenges” and Chairing the afternoon Vessel Performance Optimisation session. Additionally, Mrs. Panayiotou will be moderating the concluding panel, titled “Best practises for vessel performance optimisation.”
Mrs. Hadjisoteriou, having great expertise in litigation strategy and implementation, will be participating in the concluding panel, analysing the legal impact and particularities of green financing and enforcement of second ranking mortgagees in this respect.
The aim of this panel is to bring together shipowners/managers, technology companies, and financial and legal experts to discuss how to achieve optimal performance under tightening regulations.
Topics to be covered during the conference include cybersecurity and vessel rules, a talk from Columbia about their new centre for managing vessel performance, a panel discussion of CIOs and IT managers about the best way to tackle digitalisation.
