Successfully secured Permanent Residency for a same-sex couple. As the couple’s marriage was not legally recognized in Cyprus, this also required liaising with the Immigration and Migration Department to arrange a separate civil partnership agreement between them.

Experience
Assisted a client whose residency permit was mistakenly cancelled by the authorities during the summer holiday period. Liaised directly with the Director of Migration and the relevant authorities to address the issue. The client was at imminent risk of deportation from Cyprus but through prompt intervention and effective communication the error was rectified and the client’s residency status was successfully reinstated.
Assisted a client who had overstayed in Cyprus for almost two years. Despite the complexity of the case, Leandros successfully assisted the client in obtaining approval to submit his residency application and in subsequently securing his residency shortly thereafter.
Successfully secured Permanent Residency in Cyprus for a couple who already held permanent residency in another country, first assisting them in formally resigning from their existing permanent residency status before proceeding with the Cyprus application. The case was further complicated by the fact that each spouse held a different nationality and thus required carefully coordinating the collection and certification of official documents from three different countries.
