Successfully represented the plaintiff in civil proceedings for trespass and unlawful interference with his immovable property arising from the defendants’ unlawful relocation of a public drainage channel, which altered the natural flow of stormwater and caused water to be diverted and accumulated on the plaintiff’s land. Following a full trial on the merits, the Court entered judgment in favour of the plaintiff.

Experience
Pursued criminal proceedings on behalf of the Municipality of Paphos in relation to the unlawful placement of objects in a public area in contravention of the Municipalities Law. The prosecution proved the offence beyond reasonable doubt, resulting in the conviction of the defendant.
Successfully represented the principal debtor in interlocutory proceedings initiated by a bank seeking an interim injunction preventing him from disposing of or otherwise dealing with his immovable property. The Court dismissed the application for interim relief.
Represented the respondent before the Supreme Court in an appeal against a first-instance judgment dismissing the appellant’s claim for the repayment of commission paid in respect of aborted real estate transactions. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal in its entirety, affirming the first-instance judgment and holding that the trial court had correctly applied section 19(2) of the Real Estate Agents Law of 2004 (as then in force), which entitled a duly registered and licensed estate agent to claim and recover the agreed commission in respect of any real estate transaction brokered by the agent, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
Filed and pursued judicial review proceedings on behalf of a client, challenging a decision of the Public Service Commission to promote other candidates. The Administrative Court annulled the promotion decision, finding in favour of the client.
Successfully represented the applicant in a judicial review challenging the decision of the Social Insurance Services to terminate the applicant’s incapacity benefit. The Administrative Court annulled the impugned decision, thereby restoring the applicant’s legal position.
Successfully represented applicants in a number of applications for sole parental responsibility, resulting in the issuance of court orders granting sole parental responsibility to the mothers.
