Michael Kyprianou Law Firm at the European Maritime Day 2026

Michael Kyprianou Law Firm, represented by our Senior Associate, Andria Kouloumi, participated in the European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026, held on 21–22 May 2026 in Limassol.

Limassol had the honour of hosting this flagship annual event of the European Union’s maritime community, which brought together stakeholders from across Europe to network, exchange ideas, and collaborate on advancing maritime affairs and promoting a sustainable blue economy.

The European Maritime Day 2026 was co-organised by the European Commission, the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry and the Municipality of Limassol.

European Maritime Day serves as an annual platform offering an engaging and interactive forum to review developments in European maritime policy and issues relating to the protection of the marine environment. The two-day programme included a high-level conference and an exhibition, featuring organisations and companies active in the maritime and blue economy sectors.

The event attracted a broad range of participants, including representatives from businesses, government authorities, public institutions, non-governmental organisations and academia. Alongside the conference, the exhibition provided participating entities with the opportunity to showcase their services and initiatives supporting the blue economy.

The firm’s participation reflects its continued engagement with the maritime sector and its commitment to supporting clients active in the shipping industry
