We are delighted to announce that advocate Maria-Fanouria Papantonaki, who is based at our Athens office, has been invited to serve as an Arbitrator at the 18th PCA Hague Vis Pre-Moot, which will take place on 3–4 April 2025 at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. The event, organised by the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), is part of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and brings together law students, academics and practitioners from around the world.
This year’s case involves an international arbitration under the Finland Arbitration Institute Rules, arising from a dispute in the energy sector. It addresses key issues such as the applicability of the CISG, the requirement to engage in pre-arbitration mediation and the admissibility of evidence potentially subject to privilege.
It is a great honour for Ms. Papantonaki to represent Michael Kyprianou & Co. LLC in such a prestigious forum. We warmly congratulate her on this achievement and look forward to sharing more news following the sessions in The Hague.
