Andria Kouloumi represented the firm at the IBA Maritime and Transport Law Committee Conference hosted by the International Bar Association on June 12th – 13th 2024, in Hamburg.
The Maritime and Transport Law Committee is one of the oldest and most established committees of the International Bar Association with more than 650 members worldwide.
The conference welcomed legal professionals specialising in maritime and transport law from all over the world discussing the most current legal issues in the field of maritime and transport law.
The participants had the opportunity to analyse various hot topics in shipping, transport and logistics through dedicated panel discussions. Such topics included the ship and aviation finance, examining their differences, similarities and developments, the new developments in marine insurance as well as the transformation of the business scope of leading shipping companies from ocean carriers to full logistic service providers.
Other topics discussed during the conference also included the transportation industry and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), providing an update on what is needed and what is already done, as well as the paperless trade and transport.
