On 22 June 2020, the Parliamentary Secretary for Digital Economy, Clayton Bartolo, publicly announced the launch of Malta’s first Digital Economy ‘Think Tank’.
The Think Tank is responsible for generating innovative ideas and guidelines on how Malta can diversify and stimulate its economic portfolio by leveraging and adopting digital technologies, such as Blockchain, AI, Quantum, crypto and big data. It consists of 10 professionals, with varied backgrounds (Economics, Law, Finance and Quantum), whose expertise complement each other so as to ensure that the purpose for which the Think Tank was set up will be fulfilled.
