Representation at the ERA Contest 2025 – A step forward in EU Litigation

We are proud to announce that Maria-Fanouria Papantonaki, Associate at our Athens Office, has been selected by the Academy of European Law (ERA) to represent Greece at the ERA European Contest 2025, following a competitive selection process based on academic and professional merit.

The contest brings together promising young lawyers from across the EU to address pressing legal challenges in cross-border civil and commercial litigation. Fanouria will be part of a four-member international team, alongside participants from Germany, France, and Belgium, tackling issues such as jurisdiction, cross-border service of documents and choice-of-law clauses in contracts. The semi-final will take place in Brussels on 7 July 2025, and the final will be held at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.

This is a significant recognition both for Maria-Fanouria and for our firm, which is actively engaged in complex cross-border matters across Europe. Her participation underscores our team’s growing role in the international legal sphere and our ongoing commitment to excellence, legal innovation and international outreach. We are honoured to see one of our colleagues represent not only the Greek legal community, but also our firm on such a respected European platform, and we wish her and her team every success.
