Eleana Poulladou, Associate, participated as a speaker at the 5th Asset Recovery International Conference on a panel discussing the state of contentious insolvency and asset recovery across Eurasia. 

The Asset Recovery International Conference was held in Dublin on 1-3 February 2023 and was focused on Fraud Litigation, Enforcement & Contentious Insolvency.

After a period of unprecedented global change, Eleana along with an impressive panel of colleagues from different jurisdictions provided an overview of the state of contentious insolvency in their jurisdictions and regions – with a particular focus on cross border insolvencies and the status of the UNCITRAL Model law on Cross-Border Insolvency.

Eleana specialises in the area of Dispute Resolution, including Litigation and Arbitration. She has experience in high value, complex fraud and asset recovery litigation and has acted in several cases involving world-wide freezing orders, disclosure orders and other injunctions.

She is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and a member of the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution as a qualified Arbitrator. She also contributed in legal journals such as the European Competition and Regulatory Law Review and worked at the UK Government as a Policy Advisor in EU Exit Legislation and more specifically on drafting primary Brexit legislation.

Eleana holds a Law Degree (LLB) with First Class Honours from the University of Southampton and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Competition Law from King’s College London.
