Eleana Poulladou, Associate, participated virtually in the London International Disputes Week 2023 (‘’LIDW23’’) a conference which was held on 15-19 at No. 8 Northumberland Avenue at which leading practitioners, judges and arbitrators considered the current global issues driving the practice of dispute resolution.

This year’s theme was the Changing World and through a series of events, held both physically and virtually, the participants had the chance to look at not only what progress has been made in the dispute resolution world over the last year, but also at what we can expect over the next year and beyond as the world’s economies hit some well publicised headwinds.

The week featured a one-day conference held at No. 8 Northumberland Avenue at which leading practitioners, judges, arbitrators and all those involved in the dispute resolution business considered the important matters that affect clients. There were panel sessions (with one in-house panel session and one panel of senior international judges) examining different topics such as data, AI, class actions/collective redress.

LIDW23 also featured an International Arbitration Day with panels discussing key local developments as well as the relevance of English law and London as a seat of arbitration.
