topic

Eleana Poulladou, Associate, participated virtually in the London International Disputes Week 2022 (‘’LIDW22’’) a conference which was held on 9-13 May at Central Hall Westminster at which leading practitioners, judges and arbitrators considered the current global issues driving the practice of dispute resolution.

This year’s theme was Dispute Resolution-Global, Sustainable, Ethical? and through a series of events, held both physically and virtually, the participants had the chance to take a critical look at the future of dispute resolution and its place in the post pandemic world.

The participants had the chance to look not only at how disputes will be resolved in the future, considering matters such as witness recollection and how negotiation strategy is changing, but also about the place of disputes resolution in the business world. Moreover, as the nature of international trade and therefore disputes is also changing, participants had the chance to learn about cyber and crypto issues and the rise of class actions.
