Trust Laws in Cyprus: An International Perspective

The recently published book “Trust Laws in Cyprus: An International Perspective” reviews the Cyprus legislation and practice with regards to the implementation of trusts in the context of wealth management, estate planning and asset protection.

The book is authored by well-known experts in these fields and edited by Panico Paolo, the Chairman of STEP Europe. Our law firm’s Partner Eleni Drakou has contributed two chapters, “Charitable Trusts and Charitable Organisations” and “Trusts and Ultimate Beneficial Ownership Registers in Cyprus”.

Other chapters of the book analyse the taxation of Cyprus international and domestic trusts, the non-charitable purpose trusts, the Islamic version of trusts, the trusts’ perpetuity and duration, the forced heirship rules, the powers of protectors and trustees, as well as the beneficiaries’ right to information.

The book is published by Globe Law and Business.
