Dr. Yiannopoulos is admitted before the Supreme Courts of Greece (Areios Pagos, Council of State, Council of Audit) and is also licensed to practice in Cyprus. He holds an L.L.M. Degree on Private International Law and Civil Procedure and a Doctorate in International Litigation & Civil Procedure. Before joining Michael Kyprianou & Co LLC in 2016, Dr. Yiannopoulos worked with the litigation departments of top tier Kyriakides-Georgopoulos and Calavros & Partners Law Firms reaching partner grade in both and acted as managing Partner for a boutique law firm focusing on litigation and arbitration.

Dr. Yiannopoulos taught graduate and postgraduate courses in Litigation, Arbitration & Civil Procedure as part time Lecturer (2007-2011), Senior Lecturer (2011-2016) and Assistant Professor (2017-) at the Faculty of Law of Democritian University of Thrace. He has also taught Conflict of Law and medical malpractice courses in postgraduate courses.

Dr. Yiannopoulos is particularly active in scholarship writing. He has published eight books on various aspects of International Law and Civil Procedure and is author of more than fifty articles and 200 notes to court judgments.
