Maria Parouti is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team of the firm and based in its Nicosia office.

Maria focuses on corporate and commercial matters and advises local and international clients in relation to their business requirements. She advises clients on corporate and commercial, banking & finance, real estate, M&A, employment, regulatory and immigration matters.

Additionally, she has extensive experience with domestic and cross border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, re-domiciliations and re-organizations.

Maria represents a large number of group of companies that have chosen Cyprus as their hub for their international business. She supports clients in relation to their regulatory requirements, and acts as liaison with the relevant competent authorities in Cyprus.

She has also been advising a major Greek tv channel in relation to their media productions in Cyprus.

Maria has also acted on behalf of numerous clients and assumed control of their companies by following the requisition procedure, convening the necessary general meetings and successfully removing the directors and secretary of their company who were acting against their instructions. She has also successfully followed the same procedure on behalf of creditors who had a claim against the beneficial owners of companies.
