The Cypriot Domain Registry (UCY) has recently announced that domain name registrations under the first level .cy domain extension are now available.
However, in contrast to other similar first level releases, the relevant Decree does not provide for any kind of commitment. Thus, no priority release phases will take place before registrations are open to the general public.
Registrations for the first level .cy domain extension are open to everyone on a first come, first served basis, so please keep this in mind when registering domain names in Cyprus.
