topic

Cyprus and Iran signed an Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Fiscal Evasion on 04/08/2015. The agreement was signed in Nicosia in the presence of Deputy Finance Minister of Iran, Mr. Αli Askari.

The agreement paves the way for the expansion of business and investment opportunities between the two countries. Cyprus has a long history of cordial relations with Iran, including several bilateral agreements dating back to 1989. The trade relations between the two countries remained strong despite the European sanctions. On September 2014 the Chambers of Commerce of Iran and Cyprus signed a memorandum of cooperation to give a new impetus to the business ties between the two countries.
