On World Alzheimer’s Day, Saturday 21st September 2019, Michael Kyprianou & Co LLC had the pleasure of supporting a fund-raising event in aid of the ITHAKI Charity Organisation.
ITHAKI assists persons and their families and friends who suffer from this debilitating disease that slowly erodes a person’s memory, judgment, learning and eventually ability to function.
The event was a 5 km Family Fun Run which started at 09:00 from the Paphos Castle in Kato Paphos and ran alongside the Archaeological Park of Paphos and right next to the Mediterranean Sea, which was exactly the perfect scenery to enjoy an unforgettable run.
Several companies also sponsored the event and their staff joined in the fun. All participants received a T-shirt and a medal and there were refreshments along the route and at the end. The participants also enjoyed a Zumba warm up and volunteer marshals assisted the runners at the start and along the route.
A good time was had by all, and about €5,000 was raised for this worthy cause. Our thanks to all who donated and participants are welcome to contact us if they wish to see their photographs of the event (and especially coming over the finish line).
