4th Arbitration Training Programme for Cyprus Arbitrators 2022

Eleana Poulladou, Associate, participated in the 4th Arbitration Training Programme for Cyprus Arbitrators and is now a member of the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution which is an approved ADR Entity by the Ministry of Commerce (CPS) of the Republic of Cyprus and notified to the European Commission.

The training lasted 28 hours and spanned over a period of 4 weeks (8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30 June).  The purpose of the training was to learn about a number of Arbitration Laws which apply in Cyprus such as the Law on Arbitration (Cap 4), the International Commercial Arbitration Law of 1987  (L.101/1987), the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (Ratification) Law (L.84/79) and the Foreign Courts Judgments (Recognition, Registration and Enforcement) Law (121(I)/2000) and to be able to put that knowledge into practice, as participants had the opportunity to analyse and solve various practical exercises.
