Michael Kyprianou & Co LLC participated in the conference ‘Dispute Resolution in CIS-Related Business Transactions’ that was held in Frankfurt, Germany on 28th February 2019, hosted by the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Frankfurt).
The conference was held under the auspices of the German – Russian Lawyers’ Association (DRJV) and the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) with more than 150 participants from 19 countries attending.
The discussions evolved around the recent developments and reforms in countries of the CIS region, country reports on the judicial measures available for the recognition and enforcement of court decisions and arbitral awards in CIS-related disputes and the prospects for out-of-court resolution of such disputes. The insights were given by experienced practitioners and representatives of leading arbitration institutions.
The conference was supported by prominent organizations such as the Russian Arbitration Association, the Russian Arbitration Centre, the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, the Vienna International Arbitration Centre and the Russian and CIS Arbitration Network, among others.
